Frequently asked QuestionsShould I consider buying cheaper equipment?
- No! It's cheaper for many reasons that you can probably guess. The equipment we see from many other manufacturers may cost you less to start with, but on-going repair costs, degradation of contractor-client relationship and hassle with cheaper products will cost you three times as much in the long run than our equipment would have cost to start with.
Is there any way to offset my costs?
- Yes, you can lease a full system to cover one site from
£5 a week. Some of our clients implement the PES system to provide their clients with a professional report as proof for the patrols undertaken, some have been asked by their clients to provide proof. By increasing their hourly charge rate by 4p per hour on a 168 hour week you can actually make a profit over and above the lease cost.
Do you charge monthly fees for support?
- No, we don't believe it's fair to increase your costs to line our pockets or charge less for equipment knowing we can make the difference back by charging you for support. Once you've bought the system - it's yours to use how you wish and we will support you free of charge for a year.
Why should I choose your system?
- The PES system is used on hundreds of thousands of sites in the UK and abroad, it's used by corporate guarding companies, SME guarding companies and non-guarding companies providing internal guarding or facilities management services - like major hotel chains, IT Infrastructure corporates and building management companies. These companies have asked us to provide them with a low maintenance system which is reliable and provides professional reporting for themselves and their clients. These companies did not buy elsewhere as they rated the PES system above all the other market competitors in their trials.
Do you utilise RFID and bluetooth technology to provide real time patrol information?
- We are always looking at new technology on the market which will make life easier for our clients, however we currently believe that our sensor's minimum battery life of 10 years (which is a fantastic plus point) would be heavily compromised by bluetooth/RFID technology draining the battery. Battery failure is a common excuse for a patrol not to have been done, this could be the downfall of an important contractor-client relationship. To implement RFID on a large site would also be expensive, since good RFID coverage depends on many hard wired in receivers to provide real time patrol information.
- Ask yourself why you need real time patrol information - is it really necessary?
Should I opt for a large sensor/wand/data collector unit that other vendors supply?
- Besides the Health & Safety implications of carrying a cumbersome and heavy unit, there are other more serious issues; it may scare off potential mischief makers, however any intruder serious about theft or causing a nuisance isn't likely to be alone, unarmed or likely to be put off by a large patrol sensor. They could also relieve the employee of it and use it as a weapon against them.
I have a vehicle tracker or access control - do I still need a Patrol System?
- Yes, the tracker or access control system may prove that the employee arrived or opened a door but not that they actually went through it to provide the patrol service your client is paying for!
Should I consider a less rugged solution?
- No, buy the best and the toughest equipment from us - you then have the peace of mind that it won't fail you or your clients.
I'm in facilities management/cleaning services/NHS - what can you do for me?
